Howl-O-Ween 2006 Photos Posted

More than 30 dogs paraded their stuff for the judges during the sixth annual Puptown Howl-O-Ween, as dozens of other dogs watched from the sidelines, hoping for a sign of free treats.

The event was a huge success -- thanks to all the participants, guests and sponsors. And a special thanks to our judges, Mary Ann Smith (Alderman, Chicago's 48th Ward), Janice Taylor (Chicago Park District) and Scott Van Der Weele (former head of Puptown Dog Owners Group).

First up: The final park cleaning of the year starts at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28. Help make the park glow for Howl-O-Ween ...

Festivities kick off at 1 p.m. and the judging starts at 2 p.m.

We can confirm that not only will there be costumed canines and incredibly good prizes -- including overnight boarding stays, deluxe treats and training classes -- but the afternoon will be catered.

That's right, food and drink for the two-legged set. And did we mention funny-looking dogs?

Park Clean-Up Saturday

It's that time for another park cleaning. Join us at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14 to sweep and spray.  Here's more information about the scheduled clean-ups. We've got just one more coming up -- on the morning of Oct. 28, before the Howl-O-Ween events -- so please join us!
