The UPI reports that there is a bill in front of congress to give pet-owners a tax-break of up to $3,500 for pet-care realted expenses. The idea came from actor Robert Davi ("Goonies," "Diehard") and was introduced to congress by U.S. Rep. Thaddeus McCotter, R-Mich. According to Davi, the proposed bill is "a pro-active way to be able to help the economy and change the culture in this country around animals."
Puptown fans, isn't this too much? What with war, health care, recessions, unemployment - is now the time to consider this?
PLEASE tell me what you think.

I think this would be a great benefit to those who use puptown, and we can argue till cows come home regarding its timing, but my concern would be those who abuse the tax credit. Do we as responsible pet owners what to give a financial incentive to owning a pet?

Abuse, yes - as in someone getting a pet to earn a little cash.
