The garden is in full bloom. Nice variety of plants make a beautiful center piece to the park. Note: if your dog jumps into the garden there is a small door as shown in photo. Please keep it closed and use any closing device to lock it if possible. Thank you and enjoy the lovely park!

Make sure you keep your dogs hydrated everyone! Never leave your dog in a car! If you must, always leave the windows cracked. Build a dog house if your yard does not have any shade as well. Cheers (with some ice cold water) from Puptown! :) Bring gloves and whatever protective gear and additional cleaning supplies or garden tools if you'd like. Contact Alex at 773-931-5253 if you would like to take a greater initiative for the park. We are responsible ourselves to manage the park. Thanks so much! See some of you this weekend! Part Begal part Corgi found Friday morning 9/26 friendly with collar no chip. Contact (312)914-4288 Tonight's meeting at Margate Park Field House was bittersweet. On the one hand, we are looking good for our upcoming costume party scheduled for October 25th on Saturday (Sunday as the back up day). On the other hand, our current volunteer president, Colleen Opal, just announced she will be moving to Iowa at the end of the month. Colleen has volunteered a tremendous amount of time to Puptown and definitely held the park together in a rather desperate time (loss of support in recent years). Everyone make sure to thank her at the park for all she has done in these past few months and wish her well on her future endeavors. Thanks once again Colleen and please don't ever forget Puptown! Special thanks to Donna Forsberg for helping revive the center piece of the park. Weeds, dogs running rampant in the garden, and other forms of neglect had led many to wonder what the future holds for the once thriving garden. With decades of gardening experience Donna has donated her time as a docent at the Lincoln Park conservatory, she has adopted various public spaces around the city, as well as running her Graceland West neighborhood garden walk for years. She is always doing more to inform others about the importance of plants to the ecosystem. She asks the dog owners to please keep the dogs out of the garden and if the plants "look thirsty" feel free to give them a sprinkle!
